Brooklyn Slate

Brooklyn Slate

A deep, grounded gray-blue on a traditional door — quiet enough for a calm kitchen, strong enough to anchor one.

Slate is the darkest of the Brooklyn colors and the easiest to live with. The gray-blue reads calm in daylight and turns almost charcoal at night, so a kitchen finished in it never feels flat.

The door itself is traditional: a soft frame profile that sits comfortably in a 1920s bungalow and a new build alike. Boxes and drawers are solid wood with dovetail joints, drawers pull out to full extension, and every door and drawer closes soft. The finish is a Sherwin-Williams coating.

We usually pair Slate with warm brass or matte black hardware and a light stone counter. It also works as a lower-cabinet color with Brooklyn White above.
